On-Board Dress Code (Required by Cruise Line)

For regular meals, Holland America requires a shirt and shoes. Jeans or shorts are not allowed in the formal dining room at any time.  There are two “formal nights” in the formal dining room.  Gentlemen must wear a jacket and tie to be admitted; ladies generally wear formal dresses or pantsuits.  Please note that walking through the carpeted hallways or dining areas in only a bathing suit is strongly discouraged (bring covering).
