The Beginning
The Youth Resource Center begins under
Des Cummings Jr.
Conducting Studies
The Center conducted studies on the Religious Factors in Drug Use in SDA's.
Ministry Partnership
The Center partnered with the North American Division to conduct the Valugensis Study.

1990
Giraffe Society
The Giraffe Society ministry resource for youth and young adult leaders, along with the Giraffe News and Giraffe Resources is started.
1992
Dare to Care
The Center sponsored the Teen Tent at the second International Pathfinder Camporee outside of Denver, Colorado.
1994
A New Name
The Youth Resource Center was renamed the Center for Youth Evangelism. It also moved from the Andrews University Seminary to the Lake Union Conference.
1996
New Projects
The Center adopted the International Pathfinder Camporee, and started its resource newsletter,
the 411.
1996
Discover the Power
CYE holds the Discover the Power International Pathfinder Camporee, the first in Oshkosh, WI.
1999
Relocation
CYE moved back from the Lake Union Conference office to the newly finished Andrews University Seminary.
2001
WeCare
CYE starts WeCare Disaster Relief ministry projects. WeCare provided help on the site of 9/11.
2001
Faith on Fire
CYE holds the second International Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh, Wi, with the theme Faith on Fire.
2004
Cruise with a Mission
CYE started Cruise with a Mission. They also start Children's Ministries and Youth Leadership Development.
2007
180º Symposium
CYE starts the 180º Symposium with the Andrews University Seminary.
2008
Courage to Stand
CYE holds another International Pathfinder Camporee, with the theme Courage to Stand.
2009
Church of Refuge
CYE started the Church of Refuge ministry project, to create safe churches for youth.
2010
Forever Faithful
CYE holds the sixth International Pathfinder Camporee with the theme Forever Faithful.
2014
Chosen
CYE holds the seventh International Pathfinder Camporee with the theme Chosen.
2019
Believe the Promise
The International Pathfinder Camporee is is held in Gillette, WY for the
first time.
