Gerry understands the importance of a strong and visible children’s ministry in churches; he feels the future existence of the church depends on it. Gerry has enjoyed working in children’s ministry for more than 14 years as a youth pastor, children’s ministry pastor, and elementary school chaplain. Gerry has worked in churches in Southern California, Puerto Rico, and West Palm Beach, Florida. He recently served as the Children and Family Ministry Pastor at Sligo SDA Church in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Gerry loves equipping and empowering children’s ministry leaders; in doing so he feels that he can both make a difference in expanding the mission of the Church, as well as play a role in getting children to know Jesus as their personal savior.
Gerry is an alum of Antillean Adventist University where he received his BA in Theology and is currently working on his MA in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University.
Gerry is married to Eunice who is a pre-school teacher at Great Kids Development Center in Takoma Park, MD and they have two young adult daughters.
Robin has been working in Children’s Ministry for many years. She was raised in Brazil by her paternal grandparents. Since childhood she has been involved in Children’s Ministry which includes Sabbath School, youth leadership, and music. Her passion is Music Ministry with children. She currently lives in Maryland with her husband and 2 children. She holds college degrees in Journalism and Marketing and a master’s Degree in International Management from the University of Maryland. Robin is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.
Chrystal Flerchinger lives in Moses Lake WA and is a Program Supervisor & Teacher’s Aide at Crestview Christian School this school year. For the past 20 years, God has utilized Chrystal in a variety of ways as a ministerial spouse in over 16 different congregations. Chrystal has been actively involved in Children’s Ministry during these years, all along learning new approaches from excellent leaders God puts in her path. “Because children are at the prime age for spiritual & character development and are ready to make lifelong decisions, its a joy to be a part of their encounter & growing relationship with God”
